Who I am

My name is Stefanie Gafke. I'm a Graphic Designer who loves merging art and strategic problem-solving to produce stunning identity campaigns, websites and other design pieces. I live in a cozy little condo in Washington DC’s Capitol Hill, together with my fiancée and our two cats.

I graduated this past May Summa Cum Laude and as an Honors Scholar from Marymount University's Graphic Design program, with minors in Communications and Psychology. I currently work full-time as a Graphic Designer for a Centreville Company, designing in-house as well as for outside clients.

What I do

I work in the fields of Graphic Design, Web Design, Brand & Identity, Illustration, and Photography – I dive into any area of visual problem solving with enthusiasm! I am also an excellent proofreader and copywriter, which has been helpful with many projects.

In my spare time I like to draw and paint in a variety of media to explore different ways to express my artistic talents. I have recently discovered the joy of decorating my home and refinishing old pieces of furniture, and I am absolutely infatuated with anything related to old movable type.
